These services are provided by the Public Works Department and billing
is handled through the Utility Collections Division.
Trash/Recycling and Bulk Item Service
Trash and recycling collection are provided, through contract, by Browning
Ferris Industries, Inc. and billing is handled through the City's Utility
Collections Division.

Office Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday
Bills for City furnished utilities are due by the 26th of each month
and those not paid by the due date accrue a 5% penalty. Delinquent accounts
are due by the 10th of the month. The City issues a delinquent notice,
which also serves as a notice of possible service termination. If services
are disconnected due to nonpayment, a $10 reconnect fee per metered
service is charged.

Garbage
cans and recycling bins are required for all residences. If your residence
does not have a recycling bin, they can be ordered at the same time
as your utility services through Utility Connections.
Monthly Residential Garbage Collection and Recycling Fee $ 13.50
Monthly Small Business Garbage and Collection Fee: $ 11.50

Trash Collection Guidelines
Place trash cans ( maximum 3 per customer ) out by 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday
and Saturday within two feet of the edge of the street.
The following household hazardous materials will not be collected: paint,
motor oil, pool chemicals, batteries and tires
Bulky items must be placed out by 5:00 a.m. on Fridays
Bulky items include furniture and other large items that cannot fit
in trash cans Cardboard boxes must be broken down and bundled together.
Commercial construction debris will not be collected.
Residential Recycling collection guidelines
Recycling bins must be placed out by 5:00 a.m. on Fridays.
Recyclables do not have to be separated.
Recyclables that will be collected are newspapers, plastics, food and
beverage cans and glass containers.
Rinse all plastic and glass containers.
Do not place in the recycling bins: junk mail, cardboard, food boxes,
Styrofoam products, plastic wrap, plastic bags, oil, antifreeze bottles,
scrap metal, paint cans, aluminum plates, light bulbs, plate glass,
mirrors, ceramics or glass that is not a container.
