The City of Port Allen works in coordination with the West Baton Rouge Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (OHSEP) to ensure the safety of all residents before, during, and after emergencies. This office is responsible for planning, response coordination, and communication during disasters.

U.S. Highway 190 (Airline Highway)

  • Crosses the Mississippi River via Huey P. Long Bridge
  • Connects Port Allen directly to Baton Rouge and other evacuation routes

LA Highway 415

  • Major northbound evacuation route from Port Allen
  • Connects to U.S. 190 and I-10 and continues north through West Baton
    Rouge Parish
