A Message from the Mayor
City of Port Allen, Louisiana
Dear Residents, Visitors, and Friends,
Welcome to the City of Port Allen—a community rich in history, resilience, and pride.
As a lifelong resident and proud graduate of Port Allen High School, it is both an honor and a privilege to serve as your mayor. My journey with this city began many years ago right here in City Hall, and through each role I’ve held, I’ve gained a deep appreciation for the people, the spirit, and the strength that make Port Allen so special.
Port Allen is more than just a city—it is a close-knit community where neighbors look out for one another, where families build their futures, and where progress continues to shape our path forward. From our dedicated Police Department working daily to keep our community safe, to our Public Works and utility teams ensuring essential services like water and natural gas are delivered reliably, every part of our city government is committed to serving you with excellence.
We are a city built on hard work and guided by strong leadership under the Lawrason Act, with a Mayor–Council form of government that prioritizes accountability, transparency, and responsible growth. Together with our Council and employees, we strive to provide quality services, improve infrastructure, and create opportunities that enhance the lives of our citizens.
As Mayor, I believe in being present, accessible, and hands-on. Whether I’m at City Hall assisting residents or out in the community listening to your concerns, my commitment remains the same—to serve with integrity, compassion, and dedication.
Our vision for Port Allen is one of continued progress—where we honor our past while building a stronger, safer, and more vibrant future for generations to come.
Thank you for your continued support, your trust, and your belief in our city.
Sincerely,
Terecita Pollard Pattan
Mayor, City of Port Allen
